Hello! I am Dr. Çağlar Çömez, a philosopher specializing in legal philosophy, moral philosophy, and Kantian practical philosophy. I completed my PhD at Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg in April 2025 with a dissertation on Kant's legal and moral philosophy. I recently taught several seminars at the University of Bonn, where I conduct my postdoctoral research. My research explores philosophical issues regarding the relation between morality and law. I have published in journals such as Kantian Review and the Jahrbuch für Recht und Ethik (Annual Review of Law and Ethics). I am currently working on article projects focusing on how Kant's practical philosophy helps us address current issues in moral philosophy and legal theory.
I also have more than a decade of experience in translation and localization.
